The National Disability Insurance Scheme, known as NDIS, is Australia’s first national scheme for people with disabilities that provides funding directly to individuals. Managed by the National Disability Insurance Agency, or NDIA, the NDIS will provide more than $22 billion in funding a year to an estimated 500,000 Australians who have a permanent and significant disability that impacts them daily. This includes older Australians who require support to remain independent at home.
The NDIS can provide direct funding for people to access in-home care to maximise their wellbeing and ageing in place. Home Care Assistance Gold Coast is a registered NDIS service provider and can provide in-home care services via NDIS funding.
To access funding through the NDIS, your eligibility must first be determined, and then an application process completed. Our team at Home Care Assistance Gold Coast can help guide you through the process from application through to service provision. Give us a call or see the NDIS website for more details.
